Head of Compliance

Overview

We are seeking an experienced analytical and strategic leader to join our team as Head of Compliance. As Head of Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring the organisations activities policies and procedures align with all relevant legislation industry regulations and best practices. You will lead our compliance team champion a culture of integrity and transparency and directly support sustainable business growth. Key Compliance Leadership Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Compliance Officer with CySEC
• Develop implement and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Program
• Ensure full adherence to MiFID II CySEC laws and directives AML legislation and GDPR
• Monitor and review all regulatory developments and assess their impact on the companys operations
• Liaise with CySEC and other relevant authorities handling inspections audits and communications
• Prepare and submit required reports to CySEC (e.g. Annual Compliance Report AML Report Risk Assessment)
• Provide compliance training and ongoing support to staff across departments
• Review and approve marketing materials policies and new product launches from a compliance perspective
• Investigate and report suspicious transactions
• Manage internal compliance audits and risk assessments
• Update and enforce internal policies and procedures ensuring alignment with regulatory changes
• Supervise and lead the Compliance team. The candidate will be appointed as AMLCO as well.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• University degree in Law Finance Business or a related discipline.
• Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate; possession of the CySEC AML Certificate is a plus.
• At least 5 years of compliance experience within a CySEC-regulated brokerage or financial institution.
• Mandatory experience working with stocks and shares.
• Thorough understanding of MiFID II CySEC regulations AML directives and GDPR.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken.
• High integrity professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
