Job Description
Join our team as a Delivery Driver in Chicago United States! Were looking for a reliable and customer-focused individual to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to our valued customers throughout the Windy City.
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customers homes and businesses
- Navigate efficiently through Chicagos streets adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures upon completion
- Handle cash credit card and check payments accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays
- Assist in loading and unloading deliveries as needed
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and traffic patterns to ensure on-time deliveries
- Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with customers
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of Chicagos streets and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in using smartphones for navigation and communication
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and giving change accurately
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous delivery experience is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Chicagos parking regulations and zoning laws is a plus
