Job Description
The Controller of Accounting Operations is responsible for the planning control organization and execution of activities in the Controllership area involving the preparation analysis evaluation and consolidation of data and information closing and controlling all school accounts preparing financial statements and management reports on operational results in accordance with internal policies corporate guidelines and regulatory bodies. Additionally implement and keep operational procedures updated necessary for the development of activities in the area in line with the strategic planning and corporate guidelines aiming to ensure financial sustainability and the smooth operation of the school.
Role responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of preparing and executing the school budget by area and project forecasting revenues and expenses in partnership with FP&A department.
- Monitor operational costs seeking efficiency and identifying areas where savings are responsible for developing periodic reports on budget control and the financial health of the school contributing to management in decision-making.
- Ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with financial closely with other departments providing financial and strategic support.
- Create tools to monitor the progress of meeting management contract goals as well as manage those goals.
- Develop and maintain computerized tools to generate reliable data for the schools administration.
- Participate in discussions regarding various administrative processes suggesting changes and providing input on new procedures.

- Oversee cash flow forecasting and management to ensure the companys liquidity.
- Develop strategies to optimize working capital and reduce costs.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with all local state and federal tax regulations.
- Work with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax planning
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Solid professional experience in the Controller area with a strong track record in financial management reporting and compliance
- Proven experience leading and managing teams
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
- Proficient in financial modeling analysis and forecasting techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams (such as the Admissions Team) and communicate clearly with families
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on solution-oriented mindset
