Represent the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
Prepare staff rosters in line with award requirements and forecasted business levels.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and guest comfort meet Sofitel standards.
Ensure consistent implementation of Sofitel brand standards across the Housekeeping Department and by all Ambassadors.
Plan organize and maintain accurate records of deep cleaning activities by room/area following hotel policy and ensuring logical efficient work patterns.
Ensure corridors and Ambassador areas are cleaned to Sofitel standards.
Laundry Linen and Uniform Management
Support the efficient operation of the laundry ensuring cost-effective use of all linen and regular inventory checks; investigate stock discrepancies and liaise with contract laundry services.
Assist in managing the uniform room ensuring efficient usage inventory accuracy and resolution of any losses.
Guest Services and Liaison
Handle guest laundry and lost property in accordance with hotel policy.
Liaise with Front Office and Engineering regarding room readiness with special attention to VIP rooms and guest requests.
Manage and follow up on guest service issues (e.g. daily glitch/DM log and TrustYou feedback) with Ambassadors and supervisors.
Team Management and Development
Assist with the recruitment of new Ambassadors.
Conduct probationary reviews quarterly performance reviews and development planning for Housekeeping Ambassadors.
Support the Executive Housekeeper with performance management and disciplinary actions when required.
Standards Safety and Compliance
Attend and contribute to WH&S environmental and brand assurance meetings; support implementation and compliance with relevant policies and processes.
Ensure contractor compliance with all hotel policies procedures and safety standards.
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to uphold hotel standards of cleanliness and guest service.
Ensure the secure handling of keys storerooms and guest room access in accordance with Sofitel standards and housekeeping procedures.
Coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper on the use and inspection of contractors for deep cleaning and ensure results meet Sofitel standards.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within housekeeping in a hotel or resort environment (minimum 3 years).
Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations standards and proceduresparticularly within a luxury or branded hotel.
Familiarity with OH&S regulations chemical safety and environmental sustainability practices in a hotel setting.
Experience with inventory control linen management and housekeeping-related administration.
Competence in using property management systems (PMS) such as Opera Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
Experience working with external suppliers and contractors including laundry and cleaning services.
