Job Description
The Refinery is an award-winning entertainment advertising agency based out of Los Angeles CA. We work with all of the major studios producing social digital and print creative campaigns for theatrical television & streamer clients.

Enough about us heres what were looking for:
A Freelance 3D Artist to contribute to high-impact entertainment advertising projects as needed. When booked with us youll collaborate closely with our in-house creative team to bring dynamic visual assets to life integrating them into After Effects compositions and helping with broader motion graphics and visual development tasks.
Responsibilities:
- You will model texture and light 3D assets for use in motion graphics and design projects
- Apply basic animation techniques (object movement camera moves) to enhance 3D scenes as needed
- Prepare and export assets (JPEGs PNGs OBJ files etc.) for animation and compositing
- Collaborate with designers and producers across departments to meet creative goals
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Cinema 4D Blender Element 3D
- Solid understanding of basic animation functions within 3D software (keyframe animation camera movement)
- Experience with After Effects Photoshop Illustrator
- Familiarity with digital formats and production pipelines for motion graphics
- Reliable self-disciplined and able to work independently
Bonus:
- Experience in the entertainment advertising or marketing industry
- Knowledge of third-party render engines (Redshift Octane)
- Comfort with AE compositing and project prep for delivery
Salary Range:
$450-$800/day
Please note you will be asked to provide your freelance rate in the application process. Ultimately the rate offered will depend on qualifications years of relevant experience and skillset. If your requirements fall outside the stated pay range we still encourage you to apply.
Official working hours are 9:30 am6:30 pm PST. However hours can fluctuate depending on client requests and may be staggered based on after-hours needs.
This position is remote and must be available to work on PST.
