The Bottom Pour Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for the following functions including but not limited to:
- Maintains adherence to Company Safety Policies through education and accountability.
- Supports the Company philosophy concerning unions and works to maintain a union free environment through the utilization of good supervisory practices.
- Possesses a strong commitment to a safe working environment and practices.
- Supervises Bottom Pour personnel in all aspects of bottom pouring liquid steel including setup crane operation steelpouring mold grinding and mold repair.
- Directs the activities of the department with regard to safety production and quality.
- Holds department employees responsible for high quality high volume productivity utilizing good safety practices.
- Coordinates and supervises stripping of ingots.
- Prepares final daily production schedule.
- Assists with development of policies and procedures for department as well as overall Company.
- Ensures that systems as defined by the EQS Manufacturing Instructions Manual are maintained in the department.
- This position will be required to cross train as a Supervisor in the Auxiliary Department.
- Enforces all manufacturing instructions.
- Develops and promotes improvements in operating procedures equipment and materials.
- Interviews prospective applicants.
- Evaluates personnel and recommends training.
- Makes decisions regarding hiring and termination of personnel.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Other projects as requested including travel (locally and nationally) if required.
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules

- Performs other duties as deemed necessary
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. College degree in natural sciences would be a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in steel product manufacturing.
EQS TRAINING: Theoretical Steelmaking Course (unless technical degree supersedes).
SUPERVISION: Prior supervisory experience preferred.
SCHEDULE: Schedule subject to change based on need. Current schedule is: Sunday - Thursday daylight - 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM; Sunday - Wednesday night 8:30 PM - 7:30 AM
DRIVING: Required to have an active and valid drivers license or the ability to travel and commute as required and comply with the Motor Vehicle Safety Program
