Founded in 1926 Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Glendale California. The hospital offers a full complement of services including its award winning heart center the colorectal surgery institute a gastrointestinal program and is a Los Angeles County approved primary stroke center. Responsibilities
The Certifited Surgical Tech is a member of the Surgical team who works with Surgeons Anesthesiologists Registered Nurses and other surgical personnel in delivering care pre-operatively intra-operatively and post-operatively. Participation in the coverage of the departmental On Call schedule as well as shift adjustment based on the needs of the department is requred.
Our surgical department consists of 8 operating rooms with a designated cardiac and urology suite. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting tables and equipment. While all service lines are supported hearts vascular major ortho and neuro spine are the most prominent. The recent addition of the DaVinci Xi will allow this surgery department to provide a high level of care. This collaborative department supports learning and professional growth. Qualifications
- 1 year experience in acute care/stand alone ambulatory surgery center with focus on Ortho Laparoscopic procedures vascular ophthalmology; or successful completion of a student clinical rotation at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
- Focus on Ortho Laparoscopic procedures vascular ophthalmology.
- Surgical Technologist certification required
- BLS card
