Job Description

Fleet Maintenance Controller

Dawsongroup truck and trailer is looking for a problem-solving quick-thinking Fleet Service Controller. If you have experience in maintenance enjoy making decisions that keep vehicles safe and roadworthy and want to be part of a company that values your expertise this could be the role for you!

About This Role

Every day youll play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet remains in top condition and that breakdowns are handled quickly and efficiently.

  • Provide breakdown support and authorise maintenance repairs.

  • Work closely with workshops and suppliers to control repair costs.

  • Keep records up to date and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.

  • Use your expertise to assess repairs and warranty claims.

  • Work on a shift rota to ensure round-the-clock support.

About You

You have a solid background in maintenance and can make quick informed decisions. Youre calm under pressure and enjoy working with people to find solutions.

  • Experience in a maintenance or mechanical role (essential).

  • Knowledge of HGVs trailers and associated equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess repairs efficiently.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confident using computer systems to log and track maintenance records.
