Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe Reliable Maintainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering our program offices and our customers. LCE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety Supportability and Engineering Intelligence and Analysis.
We are seeking an entry to mid-level Systems Engineer to generate 3D CAD models and animations to aid in the development of E-learning and AR (Augmented Reality) training modules for tactical systems. This position is an excellent fit for applicants with prior 3D modeling experience and a basic understanding of electro-mechanical systems. Work will require interfacing with tactical system SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to gather information for use in model development.
What you will do:
- Research and understand tactical system concepts using schematics functional block diagrams tactical system data parts lists CAD drawings and technical manuals.
- Generate 3D CAD models and animations to deploy in E-learning modules and AR training experiences.
- Collaborate with other engineers to plan and develop material in accordance with appropriate technical manuals.
- Work in a fast-paced environment that demands both accuracy and detail.
- This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
- Experience with 3D Modeling using Creo / Parametric or similar software.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Experience with animations using Blender
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical problem-solving mindset
- Experience in Agile processes and scrum
- Experience with requirements generation and configuration management
- Familiarity with Technical Manuals and procedures
- Understanding of principles of object-oriented design

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
