Job Description
Machine Operator
Howdensare recruitingMachine Operators to join our team based at Howdens Work Surfaces our solid surfaces production facility in Holme upon Spalding Moor East roles willenable us to deliver our forecasted growth and extend our service to our customers.
In this role you will be responsible for the production of solid surfaces by setting monitoring and performing quality checks on saws polishing machine and CNC with current standard operating procedures and health and safety processes.
Pay rate and shift pattern:
- 42137.68 2943.72 shift allowance and daily meal allowance
- Monday to Friday rotating shifts 5:45am-2pm & 1:45pm-10pm
- Opportunities for overtime

What youll be doing
- Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP
- Continuous monitoring of the machine during production
- Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards
- Planning and organising tooling and equipment to operate machine safely effectively and efficiently in line with the production plan
What were looking for
- Previous experience of operating machinery
- Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement approach to continually seek ways to improve our processes
