Courier - Courier - FT 1.0 (80 hrs biweekly)

In an environment of continuous quality improvement the Courier is responsible for transporting lab specimens various supplies and materials from the hospital to and from physicians offices nursing homes and other locations. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

1. Operates a legally licensed motor vehicle.
2. Picks up patient specimens at physicians offices nursing homes or other clients and delivers to the lab.
3. Delivers to physicians offices nursing homes or other clients reports on test results.
4. Delivers to physicians offices nursing homes or other clients needed supplies from the lab.
5. Picks up transports and delivers various materials to and from the hospital and its clients.
6. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• High School Diploma GED or equivalent training and/or experience required.
• Must have a valid drivers license and remain insurable by hospitals agent.

Special Knowledge Skills Training:

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read write and do math as generally demonstrated by a high school diploma or GED.

Compensation Details: Education experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
