Job Description
This role supports the Member Audience Communications team (Church Magazines) by providing design consultation as needed to support originating departments with design exhibits experience and publishing-related technologies correlation standards and best industry best practices. They understand the needs of originating departments and work cooperatively with them to provide ideation creative and design services in close collaboration with the design staff and originators.
Responsibilities
- Solve design and project problems on both small and large projects.
- Lead complex projects collaborating with and provide feedback to other designers working on the project.
- Develop concepts that represent a product a message or an experience that solve business and communication objectives accounting for the design complexities and the associated production requirements.
- Work independently collaborating with colleagues and other creative disciplines to realize the final product on the major aspects of a projects development and progress before work is submitted to originating departments and Correlation.
- Provide bids and work durations for small medium and large projects.
- Work within multilevel approval structures to successfully interpret business needs research and correlation requirements to produce products and experiences.
- Maintaining the appropriate quality and creative standards within schedule and cost limitations in-house and with vendors.
Lead client presentations to present recommended ideas concepts and final products articulating the points in terms a client understands using business terms not design terms.
This role is NOT responsible for the following:
- Content editing writing project management or people management (hiring decisions formal performance appraisal time approval etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- Minimum six years of experience demonstrated through a professional portfolio.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical visual thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Team players who collaborate on projects and inspire excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership with large projects as they work collaboratively with a team and across divisions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and present to executives clients.
