Job Description

Norco are Australias largest farmer owned dairy cooperative. Due to continued investment in our dairy business we are increasing our blowmould bottle making capacity at our Labrador site on the Gold Coast. As a result we are now seeking to add to our existing team who work in a supportive environment adjacent to our production floor. In this role you will be primarily responsible for operating and maintaining our blowmoulding machines that produce our 2 and 3 litre bottles. The ideal candidate will have previous machine operator experience or machine aptitude and will be motivated and committed to a career in food manufacturing.

The position involves shift work with the team currently working 42 hours per week on average across 24 hours / 7 days on a 12 hour rotating roster including weekends public holidays and night shift. We love our bottles so much we never stop making them.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and the ability to work in a safe manner
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (blowmould experience highly desirable)
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and advanced problem solving skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work shift work and rotating rosters
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork with good attention to detail
  • Sound communication literacy and numeracy skills and computer skills
  • Understanding and commitment to continuous improvement activities

  • Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
