Job Description
Under the general supervision of the HIM Coordinator the ROI Specialist oversees the release of information system according to SHS policies and procedures. Utilizing the tools within the electronic health record discloses medical record information when an authorized request is received and requests medical records involving patient care. Additionally the ROI Specialist performs diversified clerical duties requiring the application of several standard procedures and instructions.
Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Experience preferred.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to solve practical problems; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
- 40 wpm typing speed.
- Preferably Cerner Supply Chain knowledge
- Strong communication skills.
