Responsibilities

As our RN Dialysis Supervisor at CHI Williston Health you will maintain regulatory standards and standard of nursing practice and be directly responsible to the Director in assessing planning implementing evaluation and supervision of unit activities according to unit policies and procedures. All the criteria-based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to the policies procedures and guidelines of the Medical Center.

  • Act as a role model through support of the Medical Centers mission and values by promoting and enhancing the Journey Beyond Excellence expectations.
  • Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
  • Assures quality of care by establishing hospital and nursing divisions Standards of care; enforcing adherence to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; recommending adjustments for hemodialysis peritoneal dialysis CRTT and therapeutic phlebotomy.
  • Complete hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis event report follow up monitoring and education as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with leadership to maintain staff by assisting in recruitment and selection of nurses and completion of the orientation process.
  • Maintains nursing staff job results by coaching counseling and disciplining employees; planning monitoring and appraising job results.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN Required.
  • Minimum of two years of nephrology nursing experience Required.

Licensure and Certifications

  • Registered Nurse: Nort Dakota (RN:ND) Required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) Required.
