We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to be part of the team working on the FACTA technology migration projectfrom version 7 to version 17. This role requires strong hands-on development skills in Java 17 Spring Framework 6.x and Hibernate 6.x. Knowledge of Vaadin is an added advantage. The ideal candidate will work closely with the technical lead and architects to deliver high-quality scalable software solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Contribute to the migration and modernization of the FACTA application from lower
version to higher version.
Perform hands-on coding debugging and unit testing using Java/J2EE technologies.
Design and develop modules using Spring Framework 6.x Hibernate 6.x and related
technologies.
Develop and maintain RESTful services Spring Batch jobs and microservices-based
components.
Collaborate with the technical team to understand requirements implement changes and
resolve technical challenges.
Participate in code reviews peer programming and ensure adherence to coding
standards.
Support system integration testing and deployment activities.
Identify performance issues and apply best practices for optimization.
Document technical designs solutions and migration steps.

Must-Have Skills:

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Strong experience in Spring 6.x Hibernate 6.x and enterprise Java applications.
Experience with Spring Batch microservices and API development.
Familiarity with application migration or upgrade projects.
Familiarity with Vaadin or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Strong debugging problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience in migrating Java applications across major versions.
Experience with Vaadin or other modern front-end frameworks.
Exposure to DevOps CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
