Job Description
As a Field Technician you will be joining a leading construction firm in the Raleigh NC area. You will be working to repair Heavy Equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components to restore functionality.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on heavy machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions to address issues promptly. Troubleshoot and repair engines transmissions brakes and other systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs maintenance activities and equipment histories. Utilize computerized systems for tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing maintenance and repairs. Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance team.
- Coordinate with other maintenance team members equipment operators and project managers to prioritize and address equipment needs in a timely manner.
- Manage and organize tools and equipment ensuring they are properly calibrated maintained and readily available for use.
Job Requirements
-3 years of experience with Heavy Equipment maintenance repair and inspection. Additional vocational or technical training in heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Valid Drivers License and/or CDL with clean driving record
- Effective communication skills ability to collaborate with team members and provide clear explanations of repairs and maintenance needs.
