Job Description

Job Title:QA Technician
Pay:$17.50/hour (includes shift differential)
Hours:1st Shift 6:00 AM 3:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:Owasso Oklahoma

Position Overview:

Stand-By Personnel is hiring aQA Technicianto support a food manufacturing facility in Owasso. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with USDA GMP and HACCP guidelines while supporting internal quality systems and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail and a passion for food safety and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with USDA GMP HACCP and company-specific policies.
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials in-process products and finished goods.
  • Conduct product testing including temperature checks pH moisture analysis and weight verification.
  • Maintain accurate quality control logs inspection records and regulatory documentation.
  • Assist in preparing for and supporting internal and external food safety audits.
  • Communicate any deviations in quality or safety standards to the FSQA Supervisor immediately.
  • Provide support and feedback to production and sanitation teams on food safety practices.
  • Ensure adherence to company protocols regarding handling storage and documentation.
  • Stay updated with changes in industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree in food science microbiology or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in quality assurance or food safety in meat processing or food manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP GMP SPC SSOP and USDA/ FDA regulatory requirements is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols precisely.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and data entry.
  • Comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments.
  • Effective communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced regulated environment and maintain accuracy under pressure.
