Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector in Rocky Hill CT.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor conformance to quality performance specifications and code requirements by performing comprehensive inspection duties. This includes reviewing construction plans specifications and other relevant documents to ensure compliance.
- Conduct daily field inspections of construction sites materials and workmanship.
- Maintain detailed records of observations measurements and test results using appropriate documentation methods and software.
- Participate in punch lists testing and commissioning activities. Identify deficiencies recommend corrective actions and follow up to ensure proper resolution.
- Track quality assurance progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit clear concise and accurate inspection reports including daily logs progress reports and final inspection summaries.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- HS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- NICET II certification or the ability to become NICET II certified.
- Valid Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science degree in a relevant field.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects including overnight work.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
