Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Representative to join our team in Ericeira Portugal. As a key member of our sales force you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth cultivating strong client relationships and representing TOMRA with the highest level of professionalism.

This role is ideal for a sales professional with a passion for building markets and a strong commercial mindset. You will be instrumental in shaping and accelerating the growth of TOMRA Collection Solutions RVM (Reverse Vending Machine) footprint across Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full sales cyclefrom lead generation and customer engagement to negotiation installation coordination and post-sale follow-up.
  • Identify and engage potential customers establishing contact with key decision-makers and building long-term relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue product mix and profitability targets.
  • Drive market development by initiating and nurturing new business opportunities particularly in the Portuguese RVM sector.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively ensuring alignment with TOMRAs commercial goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform and adapt sales strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities pipeline status and forecasts.
  • Represent TOMRA at industry events and trade shows enhancing brand visibility.
  • Mentor and support junior sales colleagues contributing to team development.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven business acumen and the ability to make commercially sound decisions.
  • A proactive self-driven approach to identifying and developing sales opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting client relationships.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally to support TOMRAs mission in Portugal.

Qualifications :

 

  • 5 years of successful sales experience in technical/mechanical equipment industries ideally within modern grocery retail.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets and building long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Sales & Service models; solution-oriented and trustworthy and with good knowledge of the Portuguese market.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish a plus).
  • Skilled in CRM tools sales forecasting and time management; able to work independently or in teams.
  • Environmentally conscious with a passion for sustainability.
  • Bachelors degree preferred; sales certifications and valid drivers license are advantages.
