FUNCTION
Working in a cross-departmental role between the maintenance and despatch teams you will be responsible for general facility maintenance labouring and providing general assistance both departments.
Job requirements
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Decorating: painting walls and ceilings touching up skirting boards and door frames
Repairs and Maintenance: Building desks chairs and carry out general upkeep and maintenance of the building and external grounds mowing lawn etc.
Operating scales to accurately count parts by weight
Picking parts from stock
Following specific customer packing instructions
Ensuring accuracy of stock through careful counting and location of stock
Packing parts for storage or shipment to the customer
Assisting the team with achieving targets
Understanding and achieving the correct quality standards within the team
To assist maintenance and production carryout their daily tasks
Assisting in other departments when required
To comply with Health and Safety requirements

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
Good verbal and written communication
Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy within a timely manner
Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
Good hand / eye coordination
Be supportive and a motivated member of the team
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Essential
Good Time Management skills
Problem solving
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team
Ability to work without supervision
Desirable (Training can be provided)
Previous experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
FLT license
Scissor lift license
Manual handling experience
OTHER JOB COMPONENTS
The role will require reaching with hands and arms stooping or kneeling as well as lifting of materials and products

Shifts:
Note: we operate a 4 day working week (37.5hours)
Monday to Wednesday - 07:00 to 17:00 & Thursday 07:00 to 16:30
Overtime as and when required
