Job Description

IT Support Engineer

M-F 8am-5pm

In Office - Elgin IL with occasional travel to Elmhurst IL

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt professional IT support to internal users across various departmentsboth in-person and remotely
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware software mobile devices and Windows OS
  • Configure and deploy new hire workstations access credentials and equipment to ensure seamless onboarding
  • Monitor and maintain systems performance escalating advanced issues as necessary to Director or external vendors
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support cases technical procedures and IT asset inventory
  • Collaborate with the IT Director on strategic initiatives including server migrations system upgrades and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies data security standards and best practices across the organization
  • Create or assist with user guides and training materials to help staff make the most of IT resources
  • Maintain and organize documentation for hardware warranties software licenses and support contracts
  • Work collaboratively across the organization participating in company initiatives as requested

Job Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role ideally in a fast-paced multi-site environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office and other business applications
  • Experience with networking fundamentals remote desktop tools VPNs and troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation and a team-first attitude
  • Clear and professional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems is a plus
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A Network or Microsoft certifications are a strong advantage
  • Occasional travel to additional location in Elmhurst IL - company vehicle can be provided for commute to Elmhurst

Other Qualifications:

  • Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; move about the office with ease; ability to kneel bend squat and balance; and lift or move up to 20-pounds
  • Requires reliable sight hearing verbal communication and touch
  • Must be committed to creating value in the IT department

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Compensation: This role is non-exempt offering an annual salary of $80000 - $100000 paid in biweekly installments.
