Job Summary

Vertivs Busbar Product Line is looking for a Lead Revit Designer to join our Anderson team who will lead and mentor a team of BIM Coordinators while providing guidance training and support to ensure high-quality deliverables. The candidate will lead a team of BIM/Revit Coordinators who will prepare busbar layout 3D models and 2D shop drawings in line with project requirements specifications and deadlines. This candidate will also organize and lead review meetings at each project stage to review progress and deliverables with key stakeholders and maintain oversight of the entire project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers engineers contractors and other project stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
  • Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM/Revit models to identify and resolve clashes discrepancies and potential conflicts in design and construction.
  • Lead and mentor a team of BIM/Revit Coordinators providing guidance training and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members based on skill sets project requirements and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to BIM Coordinators.
  • Organize and lead review meetings at each project stage with relevant project team members to ensure customer requirements are met and project milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain oversight of the entire project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members and with other departments to resolve drawing and specification discrepancies and deliver quality outputs.
  • Ensure that all project designs and models are completed accurately and on or before the estimated dates.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company H&S guidelines and policies during factory and site visits.
  • Promote sustainable practices within the team such as reducing paper usage by printing only what is necessary.
  • Review and approve drawings prepared by BIM Coordinators before forwarding them to the PM/Client for final approval.
  • Ensure all BOM changes are tracked and communicated effectively to the Technical Engineering team and relevant project teams.
  • Ensure that all design outputs are error-free and meet the project specifications.
  • Oversee the proper updating and organization of drawing locations for working and output files ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  • Provide a comprehensive project closeout report to the CADD Manager highlighting lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in architecture design engineering or related field; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of busway products preferred
  • Applicable experience with Revit MEP AutoCAD or Navisworks
  • Knowledge of BIM360 and ACC
  • Knowledgeable regarding industry standards for drawing creation/best practices
  • Aptitude for problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
  • Driven individual who is result oriented.
