The Opportunity
Lounsbury Chevrolet in Miramichi is looking for an Apprentice or Licensed Automotive Service Technician.
This is a permanent full-time position.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
*** Heavy-Duty Truck Technicians are welcome to apply***

Responsibilities
- Basic vehicle maintenance: tire rotations and oil changes diagnosing complex problems and planning and executing vehicle repairs
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes or use various equipment including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicles breakdown or damage
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
Qualifications
- Apprentices must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Or Licensed Automotive Service Technician certification from an accredited post-secondary institution or enrollment in a recognized apprenticeship program.
- Graduates of a Heavy Equipment Service Technician program are also encouraged to apply
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Can work independently managing his or her time and workflow
