WW Integrated Marketing Systems and Intelligence (WIMSI) is seeking a talented Software Development Manager who is customer-obsessed and entrepreneurial to help our global marketing organization build advanced technology solutions that transform how Amazon reaches and engages customers at scale.
In collaboration with product and science teams across the US and EU you will lead strategic cross channel marketing initiatives (upper/mid/lower). You will be responsible for leading a team of software development engineers in designing developing testing and launching new features and products. You will leverage your technical expertise to drive direction and decisions for the next generation of integrated marketing systems and build products that help us automate and scale.
To be successful in this role you must be a highly collaborative leader who thrives on earning trust through transparency and high quality delivery. You should be a hands-on technical leader with deep technical expertise excellent leadership skills and strong business judgment. You must be passionate about developing talent within the team and scaling the impact of their work.
About the team
The Worldwide Integrated Marketing Systems and Intelligence (WIMSI) Tech team builds core technology for Amazons marketing funnelfrom driving awareness to enabling discovery and delivering selection at the right price. Regionally aligned for speed US teams lead upper-funnel efforts while EU teams focus on mid/lower funnel and Prime Value. This structure enables fast localized decision-making while launching globally scalable solutions. By combining deep domain expertise with autonomous charters WIMSI delivers high-velocity innovation and customer-centric marketing experiences worldwide.
- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
