Position: JV Assistant Coach
Areas of Responsibility:
- Teach fundamentalFootballskills and strategies.
- Participate in and help coordinate off-season program.
- Assist in managing booth/sideline operations.
- Run effective daily practices.
- Coach and train players according to the direction and philosophy of the Head Football Coach.
- Participate in pre-season activities.
- Cooperates and collaborates with otherFootball coaching staff toestablish and implement the shared program philosophy.
- Attend Varsity and JV games.
- Cooperates and communicatesrespectfully to parents.
- Supervise bus trips and locker room as well as behavior at away and home games.
- Maintain sportsmanship and respect to other teams coaches bus drivers and community members.
- Coaches must keep an accurate record of equipment and uniforminventory.
- Cooperates in helping the booster club and other organizations that support the success of the athletics department.
- Follows district policies and procedures.
- Understands and follows rules and regulations set forth by all governing agencies: state association school district and league.
- Participates in training and other activities deemed mandatory by the district to improve coaching performance and enhance student health and safety.
- Attends athletic department meetings when required.
- Fulfills other related responsibilities as directed by the Head Coach.
Qualifications Required:
- Football coaching experience
- Experience in K-12 setting preferred
- Current First Aid Certification or the ability to get certified
- Ability to attend Varsity and/or JV games
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member
- Ability to plan organize and work without close supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District personnel and the public
- Ability to respect confidential information
- Meet OSAA certification requirements
- Obtain Type 20 Transport Certification District Vehicles (coordinated by AD through leased bus company).
