As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Neovest youlead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards business requirements and tactical best practices.
The Technical Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This position requires a proactive leader to drive QA automation and oversee performance load and system testing for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background excellent leadership skills and a strong dedication to delivering high-quality software solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and communicate clear guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration.
- Foster a culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect prioritizing diverse representation within the team.
- Lead and manage the QA team providing guidance mentorship and support to ensure the teams success.
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
- Drive the automation of QA processes including test case development execution and reporting.
- Conduct performance load and system testing to ensure the scalability and reliability of our software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development product management and operations to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality and performance.
- Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in QA and testing methodologies.
- Integrate QA automation into an automated build and deployment process.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5 years of applied experience including coaching and mentoring.
- Experience in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field with expertise in technology disciplines.
- Proven experience as a QA Manager or similar role in a FinTech or capital markets environment.
- Strong technical expertise in both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
- Hands-on experience with QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium JUnit NUnit).
- Experience with performance load and system testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Preferred Skills:
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Experience working at code level
