Job Description

Job Description
The School of Public Service at Elizabethtown College is seeking an Adjunct in Education to teach SED344/MSE544 Intensive Reading Writing and Mathematics Intervention . This course provides substantive research-based instruction that effectively prepares future teachers to assess and provide interventions to students who are struggling in the reading writing and mathematics content areas. An emphasis will be placed on determining differences between typical and problematic performance in each of the areas and modifying instructional methods providing strategy instruction and monitoring progress in each area. Classes begin Monday August 25 2025. The on-campus class is currently scheduled for Monday 5-8 PM but there may be opportunity to move the class to a different time slot depending on student schedules and instructor availability.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field; Experience teaching special education in the preK-12 environment; Excellent communication skills; Flexibility and responsiveness to emerging trends in preK-12 special education; Ability to teach in person Applicant hired must be from one of the following states due to payroll limitations: DE PA MD & NJ For full consideration please upload a cover letter CV and/or resume statement of teaching philosophy which includes ways in which you will foster an inclusive classroom & contact information for three (3) references. Due to potentially teaching dual enrollment minors current ACT153 clearances are required consisting of PA Child Abuse PA State Police and FBI completed within the last five years. Preferred Qualifications
. in a related education field; experience teaching with current educational technology; demonstrated success in creating inclusive learning environments.
