Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Horizontal Business Applications team. In this role youll work hand in hand with customeers to help them make the most of AWS Cloud capabilities to enhance their offerings and drive mutual customer success.
Solutions Architects own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS. As a trusted advocate youll help customers understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and provide strategic guidance on how to optimize their platform on AWS. You will be at the crossroads of business and technology engaging with customers at all stages of their cloud adoption journey and expansion.
In this role you will get to practice your creativity linking technology to tangible solutions and collaborating on the art of the possible. You will have the opportunity to define and design cloud-native reference architectures for data and analytics use cases. You will also identify patterns and trends that can help accelerate innovation within customers AWS environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Participate in deep architectural and design discussions to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts.
- In partnership with the sales team formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
- Travel is expected to be 20%.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
- Experience developing architecting maintaining SaaS and Mulit-tenant products applications and services
- Experience with ServiceNow or Zoom
- Experience testing implementing and deploying Generative AI applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
