Job Description

High Point Pediatrics is hiring a CMA for their pediatric practice. Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply. High Point Pediatrics offers competitive pay and 100% paid medical insurance for employees.

  • Patient Care:
    • Assist in patient examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and supplies.
    • Obtain patient history vitals and accurately document in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for outside labs.
    • Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-procedure care.
    • Ensure exam rooms are stocked and maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments including follow-ups and referrals.
    • Handle patient check-in and check-out process payments and manage insurance verification.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical billing as needed.
  • Patient Education:
    • Provide patients with information on medications treatments and follow-up care.
    • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of an MA training program and active certification required (CMA or RMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
