Job Description
High Point Pediatrics is hiring a CMA for their pediatric practice. Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply. High Point Pediatrics offers competitive pay and 100% paid medical insurance for employees.
- Patient Care:
- Assist in patient examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Obtain patient history vitals and accurately document in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
- Clinical Duties:
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for outside labs.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-procedure care.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments including follow-ups and referrals.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out process payments and manage insurance verification.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical billing as needed.
- Patient Education:
- Provide patients with information on medications treatments and follow-up care.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an MA training program and active certification required (CMA or RMA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
