How you will make contributions that matter
Join Saputo Dairy Australia as an Automation Engineer which can be based at either our Smithton or Burnie manufacturing sites. Working within the Automation team this role will cover all aspects of automation in a typical manufacturing facility including PLC SCADA and Production IT.
- Engineering installing and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Supporting site and companywide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the in-house maintenance team with fault finding in the event of plant breakdowns.
- Promotion of safe working practices and good housekeeping.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field (desirable)
- Experience in automation support within fast-paced environments (ideally dairy or FMCG)
- Proficient in PLC and SCADA systems (iFix InTouch) including HMI programming
- Skilled in OT networking SQL Historian systems and data interpretation
- Strong grasp of programming fundamentals and quick to learn new technologies
- Willing to support after-hours breakdowns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
