Job Description
Summary
Performs a wide variety of production planning activities and supports procurement as required. Responsible for managing assigned product lines commodities and supplier bases.
At this level tasks and assignments tend to be general but may involve complex and/or non-routine assignments and duties are performed under limited supervision.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower level buyer/planners including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organizations policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to training employees planning assigning directing work and resolving technically related work problems.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 5-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word software.
