Vietnamese-English Interpreter (Independent Contractor)
Location:Portland ME In-person
Job Type:Contract / Freelance
Pay:$25.00 $35.00 per hour
Expected Hours:Approximately 20 hours per week

As an independent contractor youll use your bilingual skills to help bridge communication gaps in critical settings such as healthcare education legal and social services.

Requirements:
- Fluency in bothVietnameseandEnglish
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid U.S. work authorization (eligible for I-9)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Willingness to provide the following medical documentation for medical assignments:
- MMR (Measles Mumps Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- TB Test
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Flu vaccine
- Prior professional interpreting experience or formal training preferred but not required
- Primarily available forin-personinterpretation assignments in thePortland MEarea
