Simulator Hardware Engineer
Your Day-to-Day:
- Maintenance of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware such as replacing hard drives graphics cards etc
- Troubleshoot hardware issues to determine root cause of the problem and define appropriate fix
- Adapt plant upgrade architectures to an appropriate simulator architecture determining when to procure identical plant parts and when to procure COTS items
- Work with internal organizations to place demand for deliverable material coordinate material inspections and manage material shipment
- Plan for internal system equipment needs and request appropriate funding
- Work with our Supply Chain organization to obtain quotes and procure equipment
What we would like to see from you:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other technical degrees with a strong background in hardware support and procurement
- 2-5 years hardware support experience
- Experience with Procurement/Purchasing processes
