KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides professional empathetic and compassionate care to patients and their loved ones. Greets patients and their families assists patients with dressing/undressing transports or ambulates patients and assists patients with comfort needs.
Promotes team member and patient safety in all activities and to all patient types to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Completes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy and procedure.
Prepares maintains and cleans equipment such as wheelchairs carts oxygen tanks imaging equipment and exam rooms and follows infection prevention guidelines to ensure a safe environment for team members and patients.
Partners with all imaging departments and inpatient units to assist in a safe and efficient patient flow.
Completes department tasks such as stocking supplies checking outdated supplies performing safety audits and tracking and cleaning rooms and equipment to remain compliant with requirements regulations and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be 18 years of age
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normally works in climate controlled office environment
Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space
Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock
Occasional high noise level in work environment
Possible exposure to communicable diseases hazardous materials and pharmacological agents
Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients
Use of computers throughout the work day
Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands wrists and fingers
