Based in Ottawa our Inside Sales Reps sell research products in Canada through various channels.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territory
- Make independent decisions collaborate with teams build connections within accounts for networking.
- Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone but face-to-face customer meetings may be required
- Monitor competitor and industry updates integrate data into business plan and launch new products/services.
- Manage pricing and negotiate within territory to control profitability
- Maintain accurate reporting records and files vital for proper management of territory
- Connect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems perform other tasks assigned by manager
- Advise customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control consults with customers
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
Keys to Success:
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferably in the sciences
Experience
- 2 years sales experience OR lab experience
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Strong interpersonal oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Fully bilingual in both English and French
- Proficiency in establishing goals and achieving results
- Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer
- Must deliver excellent customer service
- Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
- Must be willing to travel to customer locations if needed
