Discover Impactful Work:

Based in Ottawa our Inside Sales Reps sell research products in Canada through various channels.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territory
  • Make independent decisions collaborate with teams build connections within accounts for networking.
  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone but face-to-face customer meetings may be required
  • Monitor competitor and industry updates integrate data into business plan and launch new products/services.
  • Manage pricing and negotiate within territory to control profitability
  • Maintain accurate reporting records and files vital for proper management of territory
  • Connect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems perform other tasks assigned by manager
  • Advise customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control consults with customers
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferably in the sciences

Experience

  • 2 years sales experience OR lab experience

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Fully bilingual in both English and French
  • Proficiency in establishing goals and achieving results
  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer
  • Must deliver excellent customer service
  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
  • Must be willing to travel to customer locations if needed
