About the Role
The Associate Director Quality & Compliance plays a critical leadership role within the College of Vocational Education (CoVE) at RMIT. Reporting to the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Learning & Teaching this position leads a centralised team of quality and compliance professionals with responsibility for overseeing compliance frameworks influencing institutional policy and ensuring the effective integration of academic quality and regulatory obligations across CoVE.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established team unify and enhance quality systems and partner with delivery and corporate teams to support RMITs impact and growth. The role requires an experienced leader who brings deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and a proactive solutions-oriented mindset to managing risk compliance and quality.
Working in close collaboration with senior leaders you will also contribute to shaping RMITs approach to educational product development and transformation applying strong commercial acumen to ensure quality is embedded in evolving program models.
About You
We are seeking a proven leader with deep expertise in education delivery who can bring the following skills and experience to RMIT:
Proven leadership experience in educational quality and compliance ideally within both vocational and higher education contexts.
Demonstrated experience working with national and state regulators (e.g. ASQA TEQSA) and overseeing successful audits and reporting processes.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to shape academic offerings that balance innovation with compliance.
A proactive forward-thinking approach to regulatory change and its implications for curriculum and delivery.
The ability to lead high-performing teams and influence across a matrixed and collaborative organisational structure.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a strategic mindset to shape policy process and capability uplift across the organisation.
Mandatory Qualifications: A relevant qualification and extensive relevant management experience within the VET sector.
