Job Summary:
The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing calibration and maintenance of various instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves troubleshooting repairing and documenting calibration activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Calibration:Conduct calibration of instruments and equipment according to established procedures and standards.
- Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on calibration equipment.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records of calibration activities including certificates and reports.
- Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve issues with calibration equipment and instruments.
- Compliance:Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management:Manage calibration equipment inventory and ensure availability of necessary tools and parts.
- Training:Provide training and support to other technicians and staff on calibration procedures and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in calibration or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using calibration equipment and tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
