Job Description
Mineola Intermediate School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated 4th Grade Science and Social Studies Teacher who is passionate about fostering curiosity critical thinking and a love for learning in young students. The successful candidate will create a supportive and engaging classroom environment using data-driven instruction and hands-on learning to help all students succeed academically and socially.
4th Grade Science / Social Studies Teacher
Plan and deliver TEKS-aligned Science and Social Studies lessons that reflect best instructional practices.
Integrate inquiry-based and hands-on learning strategies to promote student engagement in scientific and historical exploration.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
Collaborate with grade-level teams instructional coaches and support staff to develop and implement interdisciplinary units and interventions.
Create a classroom culture that reflects high expectations for behavior academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians about student progress behavior and classroom activities.
Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and support learning.
Participate in professional development sessions and actively contribute to the schools learning community.
Maintain accurate records of student grades attendance and assessments in compliance with school and district policy.
Perform other duties as assigned by the campus administration.
