Job Description

We have a client with mild-moderate dementia who needs companionship care. Right now he receives care Tuesday and Thursday for a couple of hours per day. The time is flexible. His needs will increase overtime and the hours of work with him will increase accordingly. Physically he is very independent and does not need assistance with much. His biggest needs are reminders to eat go to the bathroom take his medicine. Hespeaks Haitian Creole and he lives with family. Were looking for a reliable compassionate caregiver who speaks English and Haitian Creole to pick up his case and hopefully to care for him for a good long time. Minimum Qualifications Include:

  1. Current CNA License OR HHA Certification OR
  2. Current level two background check.CLICK HERE to learn how to obtain a level two background check from the Florida Department of Health.
  3. Current CPR / BLS Certification from the American Heart Associationthe American Red Cross or the National Safety Council.
  4. CEU Course Certificates for HIV / AIDS Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD) and Assisting with Self Administration of Medication. These may be obtained through CE Broker(or another reputable site). Licensed CNAs and working HHAsshould already have these. If you do not already have these you must obtainthemwithin 30 days of hire.
  5. You are reliable. We can always count on you to be where youre supposed to be when youre supposed to be there and to deliver the absolute best care you can to every client we trust you with.
  6. You are compassionate. You treat our clients like people with dignity and grace. They are not just a task-list to you.

Highlights:

  1. Flexible scheduling options (short shifts long shifts weekends on-call only overnights).
  2. Competitive merit-based pay. Caregivers start at $15/hr. After your first 20 hours worked (once were certain that we can count on you) pay increases to $17-18/hr.
  3. Tiered Bonuses totaling $2000. Youll receive your first $50 bonus after just 20 hours worked after that bonuses increase with total hours worked for caregivers in good standing.
  4. Caregiver Emergency Fund. We have a fund that we our caregivers and our clients generously donate to in order to help our caregivers in times of great need.
  5. Weekly direct deposits. Early payout also available via Tapcheck.
  6. Bonded and insured. Our caregivers are employees not contractors. This means that youre covered under our liability insurance.
  7. Client-caregiver matching. Dont get stuck in a miserable situation. We work hard to ensure client-caregiver compatibility. We will listen to your feedback and make necessary changes to best serve our clients and caregivers.
