AWC Staff Services are looking for an enthusiastic IT Field Engineer to deliver hands-on IT support and infrastructure expertise to schools across England at Coventry Head Office with Nationwide Travel.
Responsibilities:
- Visiting schools across England to provide onsite IT support maintenance and installation
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware software and network issues on-site
- Supporting and maintaining school infrastructure (Wi-Fi servers switches cabling)
- Assisting in project work (e.g. network upgrades new school setups cloud migrations)
- Building strong trusted relationships with school staff from IT co-ordinators to headteachers
- Collaborating with our internal service desk and project teams to ensure a joined-up experience
- Keeping accurate documentation and logs via our service systems
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a field-based IT support or infrastructure role
- Confident with Windows Server Active Directory networking fundamentals (DNS DHCP etc.)
- A great communicator who can explain tech in plain English
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide
- Knowledge of MIS systems cloud platforms (Microsoft 365 Google Workspace) or AV setups

Duration: Permanent
Rate: 28000 - 30000
