We are looking for a driven and experienced Workshop Manager to take the lead in our Southern region guiding a skilled team to deliver excellence in equipment servicing and maintenance. A great opportunity for a leader who thrives on developing teams and driving efficiency.
The role
The Workshop Manager will oversee a team of 14 fostering their development to ensure the efficient and high-quality servicing and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Working Monday to Friday responsibilities will include:
- Leading supervising and mentoring a team of tradespeople to achieve operational goals.
- Making clear proactive decisions on workshop priorities while ensuring effective communication and negotiation with stakeholders.
- Setting well-defined plans to meet objectives within established timeframes adapting to changing circumstances and operational needs.
- Implementing and maintaining 5s initiatives across the workshop to maintain efficient operations.
- Overseeing the budgeting and expenditure of workshop equipment and parts required to deliver and service in line with the maintenance schedule
About you
With a relevant trade qualification and experience in a similar role your expertise includes:
- Strong leadership and ability to develop teams through constructive feedback.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Skilled in planning scheduling and adapting to dynamic environments.
- Expertise in vessel maintenance including diesel and outboard-powered vessels cranes and hydraulic equipment
- Understanding of MEX Maintenance Systems and workshop operations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook
