The registered nurse in the Float Pool is prepared and available to work on multiple inpatient units (Tele and medical Surgical units) when deemed necessary. This position requires working (3) 12 hour shifts per week. The shift start time is 7am. This position also works every other weekend. The Float Pool is an opportunity for RNs to widen their scope of practice develop additional skills and broad their knowledge base. RNs in the Float Pool must be competent to perform independently in at least three units and have at least one year of relevant hospital experience. RNs hired into the Float Pool shall become proficient in Telemetry within six months of hire. Virginia Mason has transformed health care through innovations in patient safety. We require:

• Current WA State RN license is required. 1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
• CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work. - Other certifications may be required for specialty areas.
• 1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
