This role is pivotal in supporting our Investment Banking division by delivering high-quality targeted results. As a Business Information Research Analyst in the GCFO team you will work with market data sources to acquire retrieve and organize publicly available information on companies markets industries economies investment vehicles or individuals. You will engage directly with bankers providing timely and accurate insights and collaborate with colleagues globally to enhance client service. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and explore career alternatives within the group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer inquiries from bankers in a timely accurate and value-added manner.
- Engage directly with bankers and partner with colleagues to provide high-quality client service.
- Build team relationships both locally and globally collaborating on projects as required.
- Assist in evaluating and identifying opportunities to drive process improvements.
- Utilize learning and development opportunities to grow knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate superior knowledge in selecting the most appropriate sources.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Think creatively and critically to deliver targeted results.
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment and prioritize urgency.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of research information in investment banking financial services consulting or legal research.
- Previous experience in market and financial research methodologies.
- Creative and critical thinking skills to develop innovative research solutions.
- Familiarity with AI or LLM tools for data analysis.
- Bachelors degree in finance business or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and client service.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in research practices.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Additional European language skills.
- General understanding of the financial sector and investment banking industry.
- Database search experience with tools like LSEG Workspace/Eikon S&P/CapIQ Factiva Dealogic Profound or similar.
- Passion for growing knowledge and insight.
- Experience in driving process improvements.
