Lifeguards -Point Mallard/Parks & Rec - Decatur Municipality (Decatur, Al)

Spur Staffing is looking for a dedicated Lifeguards committed to providing a clean and fun environment for the Decatur Municipality. Decatur Municipality is seeking a professional with a work ethic problem solving and interpersonal relations skills with a desire to invoke positive change in the Decatur Municipality. The hours for this position are flexible to cover the times the parks are open. Some shifts can start as early as 8:00 Am and end as late as 9:00 Pm.

Skills required:

Comprehensive training in deep water rescue and first aid (training will be provided)

Leadership communication and problem-solving skills

Proactive to prevent injury or illness quick to react in an emergency and able to face adversity professionally

Be able to work in hot humid climates

Major duties include But are not limited to:

Keeping the pool and surrounding area clean and free of obstacles

Ensuring discipline to prevent accidents

Inspecting equipment

Checking that waterfront docks equipment and water are safe and usable

Ensuring that first aid supplies and equipment are well-stocked and in good order

Informing patrons about rules regulations and enforcing them

Filling out required checklists and other records

Uniform: Decatur will provide uniform requirements once hired.

Status: Part-time / Up to 40 hours per week/ flexible schedule

Pay Rate: $13.00 p/hour
