Position: Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Exeter England United Kingdom
Job Type: Full-time
Salary
Annual Salary: 125000 - 160000
Job Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric evaluation and treatment for patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor junior psychiatrists and medical trainees.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality assurance initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and increase knowledge in the field of psychiatry.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of services.
- Document clinical assessments and treatment in accordance with regulatory standards.
Essential Qualifications
- GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Core Psychiatry Training (CT1 CT3: 3 years full-time training in general adult psychiatry and subspecialties qualifying for Higher Specialist Training.
- Higher Specialist Training (ST4 ST6: 3 years in a chosen psychiatry subspecialty leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT): Confirming eligibility for consultant psychiatrist roles and placement on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Recognized medical degree (e.g. MBBS MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution.
Desired Experience
Minimum 12 years of experience in psychiatry with specific expertise in one or more subspecialties preferred. Experience working in NHS hospitals or private psychiatric providers is highly desirable.

- Competitive annual salary ranging from 125000 to 160000.

- 37.5 hours of work per week with variable shifts based on hospital requirements.
