Job Description: Adult Consultant Psychiatrist
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized psychiatric services and consultations to adult patients.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the management of complex mental health conditions.
- Maintain and improve standards of clinical practice and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
- Initiate and implement corporate decisions that advance service quality and patient care.
- Participate actively in change management processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct assessments create treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure that all services provided meet the Quality Standards and the ethos of the organization.
- Engage in regular supervision peer reviews and continuous professional development.
- Support the development of other medical staff and contribute to educational programs within the hospital.
Essential Qualifications:
- Be medically qualified and hold MRC Psych or equivalent.
- Possess a GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Completed Core Psychiatry Training (CT1 CT3 and Higher Specialist Training (ST4 ST6.
- Have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) confirming eligibility for consultant psychiatrist roles.
- Hold a recognized medical degree (e.g. MBBS MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution.
- Mandatory skills include psychiatric diagnosis expertise Mental Health Act 1983 knowledge and leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of psychiatry with a focus on management roles.
- Significant understanding of contemporary issues in mental health and relevant legislative frameworks.
- Previous consultant experience within private hospitals and NHS settings is advantageous.
Salary & Benefits:
Annual Salary: 125000 - 160000
