Job Description
- Monitoring various country or region-specific privacy legislations and data protection regulations analyzing compliance requirements and issuing recommendations as needed support the implementation of new requirements into technology
- Leading privacy by design initiatives for a portfolio of SaaS products dedicated for the hospitality industry
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
- Improve and maintain cross-border data transfer legal framework
- Review and negotiations of various data protection terms and data processing agreements with clients suppliers partners
- Privacy incident management
- Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities
- Interact with IT security and business stakeholders to identify data protection related risks and introduce mitigating measures
- Conducting employee trainings increasing employee understanding of privacy data handling practices and legal obligations
- Responding to data subject requests
Qualifications :
- A university degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Privacy role in multi-national company ideally in tech/SaaS
- IAPP certification (e.g. CIPP/E CIPM CIPT)
- Experience with interpreting and implementing obligations of the data protection legislation and regulations (especially the GDPR CCPA and PIPL) as well understanding of security compliance
- Familiarity with One Trust and/or similar solutions
- Knowledge and experience in IT and security when working in privacy role including a solid understanding of relevant technologies such as encryption hashing tokenization etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
- Flexibility and willingness to work on broad variety of legal and tech matters and collaboration with various teams and divisions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial fast-paced environment
- Understanding of IT and SaaS products and practices to protect data during processing activities
