Primary Function of Position
Product Managers play a critical role in Ions success by empowering teams across technical and commercial functions to bring life-changing tools to our customers and patients. The Staff Software Product Manager will be responsible for the development of the next-generation software portfolio of Ion a novel robotic technology for lung access. This role will own the next generation software product roadmap across multiple product franchises scoping the development of new software features and owning the end-to-end system-level software experience.
The ideal candidate for this role must have excellent communication organization and technical skills. The ability to evangelize product narratives to key stakeholders while maintaining a high attention to detail and serving as the central point-of-contact for next generation software product development workstreams is key.
Expertise in product management methodology project management methodology software development early stage product conceptualization and product roadmap development within healthcare/medical devices is a plus. This role will report to the Group Product Manager of software.

Qualifications :
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to manage departmental and cross-functional projects stakeholders and teams; effectively resolves issues that impact multiple teams and departments involving complex strategies and high-level priorities.
Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives from concept through to completion.
Able to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks product lines and product features
Relationship builder with proven ability to work across disparate parts of an organization to deliver results.
Works on significant and unique issues where investigation of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
Exercises autonomous judgment; can operate and drive results and set priorities with limited supervision.
Self-starter with ability to take leadership in a fast-paced environment with agility to pivot focus to meet evolving customer needs and shifting market dynamics.
Consistently communicates effectively across varying organizational levels and takes the lead in communicating with and influencing senior collaborators.
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills including experience presenting to senior management and customers.
Demonstrated interest in healthcare hospital operations and finance
Ability to work in surgical labs and hospital patient care areas is required
Ability to travel up to 30%
Required Education and Training
Minimum of a Bachelors (BS/BSE) in computer science engineering mathematics or a related technical field strongly preferred
12 years of experience in product management with a Bachelors Degree 8 years of experience in product management with a Masters degree or 5 years of experience in product management with PhD
At least 5 years of experience in medical devices or a similar field
Product launch experience
Relevant experience in medical devices and/or engineering/technical organizations
Working Conditions
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills and Experience
Masters or Doctorate degree in life science engineering or business discipline preferred
Experience leading a portfolio of product lines as the single-point-of-contact in a regulated environment
Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: medical software capital equipment medical devices digital health robotics regulated product development
