Corporate Partnerships Manager
General Summary: The Corporate PartnershipsManager strategically and organizationally assiststhe Development department in reaching its financial goals and leveragingavailable resources to fulfill the Zoos detail-oriented data management and consistent project management thisrole plays a critical part in the overall success of the department. Additionally the Corporate Partnerships Managerwill support the Zoos conservation sustainability education and DEAI(Diversity Equity Accessibility and Inclusion) goals.
Essential Functions:
PrimaryFunctions:
- Under the direction ofthe Vice President of Strategy & Development manage the Zoos corporatemembership program including prospecting invoicing event planning andserving as the main liaison to all corporate partners as it pertains to theZoo
- Areas of responsibilityinclude but are not limited to:
- Ensure that the Zoo meetsrevenue goals related to corporate partnerships
- Consistent up-to-datetracking of corporate partner revenue monthly reporting and YOY comparisonreports
- Annualoutreach to all members
- Hostone-two corporate member events each year
- Prospect outreach to topemployers in Baltimore and surrounding counties
- Pursuit of prospectsidentified through the Development Committee as instructed by the VicePresident of Strategy & Development
- Pursuit of prospects in Tysons Corner
- Management of non-event-relatedcorporate sponsorships i.e. on-grounds sponsors
- Creating and managing an inventory ofon-grounds sponsorship opportunities
- Contribute tothe achievement of Development focusedfinancial goals by researching and cultivating avenues for revenue generation;
- Develop partnerships withcommunity organizations with the goal of broadening the Zoos reach within thecommunity. Ensure partnerships and eventofferings meet diversity accessibility equity and inclusivity standards;
- Responsible for thecreation and distribution of an engaging sponsor/ major donor newsletter;
- Work collaboratively withmarketing department to identify and implement the best marketing strategies;
- Conductoutreach and solicit support for the Zoo;
- Supportwriting editing and sending sponsorship and donor proposals;
- Responsiblefor detail accuracy and management of corporate member and sponsor data indatabase;
- Responsiblefor tracking corporate member and sponsor/donor admission codes;
- Responsiblefor organizing corporate member data into weekly reports to be submitted atthe direction of the Vice President ofStrategy & Development;
- Tracksponsorship deliverables and prepare ROI packages;
- Schedulecurrent and prospective corporate memberand sponsor meetings and assist in subsequent followup;
- Developfundraising materials;
- Coordinate all aspects of thecorporate member events including management of the internal staff and supportdepartments vendors deliveries set up and tear down etc;
- Manage all contracts COIsand financial records related to this roles scope of work in accordance withthe protocols set by the CFO;
- Collaborate withvolunteer department to identify volunteer roles to meet business needs;
- Provide eventsupport and assistother departments for cross utilization of skills and manpower;
- Perform otherduties as assigned; and
- Adhere to allpolicies and procedures of the Zoo.
Communication (Internal and External):
- Answertelephones and respond to inquiries;
- Skilled atbuilding relationships by phone and email and leverage relationships asappropriate;
- Manage andprocess ingoing and outgoing Development correspondence (acknowledgementletters holiday cards etc.)
Management of Resources (Financial Human ResourcesFacilities):
- Responsible formanagement of department budget and achievement of established departmentalgoals;
- Responsiblefor Altru data input data ownership and accuracy;
- Support the management ofteam coordinators;
- Fiduciaryresponsibilities include ticket sales cash handling selling inventory atfestivals and events verifying department invoices and approving purchaseorders as needed; and
- Coordinate ITneeds of the Development department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree required.
Experience/Training:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in non-profit development salesfundraising or related field required;
- Demonstrated sales andcustomer service experience required;
- Obtain and maintain TIPS(Training for Intervention Procedures) Certification;
- Valid drivers license;and
- Proficiencywith Google Workspace Excel Word and Point of Sales software required.

- Ability to deliverexceptional customer service.

- Ability toeffectively analyze data and statistics;
- Demonstratedability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote apositive working environment spirit of cooperation and positive reactions tochange and conflict resolution;
- Demonstratedexcellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral whichtranscend diverse audiences; and
- Able to readwith a high level of comprehension produce professional writtencorrespondence communicate in spoken English in an articulate manner;
Equipment:
- Must be ableto operate a variety of machines and equipment including computer telephoneradio and vehicles etc.
Working Conditions:
- Must be ableto stand and remain active for an eight-hour shift;
- Must be ableto walk large areas of the Zoo as needed;
- Must be ableto work in an outdoor weather environment in all seasons and weather includingheat/humidity cold temperatures and/or wet conditions;
- Ability towork a flexible schedule to include weekends holidays and special events;and
- Must be ableto exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift push pull carry or otherwise move objects.
